Load in time...

It is that magical crunch time for me called load-in week.  Kate, Melanie and I have spent the past couple of evenings getting the locker units built and detailed.  Today Sharon is painting them.  Of course, it is a MAJOR scramble this week as we get the last of things ready for installation on Saturday.

The cool thing this time is that, as we have gotten things completed and mostly painted, we have been able to take a load over and dump it in the theater.  This is SO great because I don't have to try to pile everything precariously onto a trailer on Saturday morning, haul it over in one load, carry it up a flight of stairs and thru a single narrow door.  I am already liking how the new facility is making life easier.

The flip side is that we will have a bit more work to do as part of load-in.  Because it is a black box, all of the seating is moveable and gets set up on moveable platforms.  We have an extra task of configuring and setting up the house in addition to the set.  I sure hope that the volunteers come in droves on Saturday to help.

So, here are a few final progress shots.  The next time I post, I will be including pix of the set and seating going in...   R
